Nosiah Vel Krig
Shaved bald man, weathered face. skinny but strong as an ox.
Nosiah Eldest of two brothers from Ge’henna, who had been raised to become city guard as has been tradition in the family. Nosiah had enrolled and went off to the city to serve the great priest Petrovana as his instrument of order. Nosiah spent his early years leaning the ways of a servant of Zhakata and that lead to skills of a respectable man according to father. Reading and writing were required. He read the great Philosophies of the wise men which to him secretly was just copies of the great priest Petrovana. On his 27th year this would change. He had served in the cleansing of the beastmen in the southern reaches when they were surprised by a great many beastmen. He was knocked off his horse in the slaughter and taken prisoner. Why in Zhakata I was spared I do not know for the Beastmen are not known to take prisoners especially those who serve as Zhakata’s enforcers. While a prisoner, I was kept with utter respect. That night I was captured and was taken before the leader of tribe. I asked very boldly not caring if death came why he was taken alive while others have not been so fortunate? The beastman pointed to 6 lines on my back, and spoke the following line. “The lines of change, the mark of the conjunction, your younger brother would preach about soon. He will be marked as a heretic. As he finished the line, soldier’s of Zhakata came to rescue arriving and slaughtering the beastmen along with their leader. As he died he looked at me and spoke Conjunction as his head separated from his body. I was given leave and returned to my home. I met my younger brother only 16 years and on his way of becoming a priest. We got along very great and he told me of his dream from Zhakata which he had shared with priest. When I asked him about the dream, he smiled and told me that in his dream Zhakata had appeared to him and spoke that the provider would come but under doubt. When I asked what he meant by doubt? Kris said Zhakata would not reveal that part for him it was up to him to bring about Zhakata’s coming. Petrovana came to their home and asked for Kris and me Nosiah hero of the beastmen war whom stood up the leader and demanding hospitality. I was at a loss for words of being called a hero. I fell off my horse unconscious.
